A List of Recipients of Individual Works
from the "St. Bernard Collection"
This is a collection that began with a neighborhood and a local school. It grew to encompass many individuals,
local agencies and non-profit organizations that helped in the recovery effort following Hurricane Katrina. Please
be sure to see special tributes to individuals at the lower portion of the page.

Discover--for Sidney D. Torres, III
"I created a separate work for Sidney D. Torres, III. Because most of the 'St. Bernard Collection' was intended for agencies, I wanted to take the opportunity to design something special for a man who has done so much for this community. The piece celebrates the academic intersection of art, music, philosophy, and architecture, indicating the wide breadth of knowledge of its recipient who is a true renaissance man."
Life is a Journey--for Glenn Jallans
"I designed a special piece for Glenn Jallans with a nautical theme that was apropos as so much
activity in this region centers around the water. Glenn was the first person I met when I came to
this area. He is always smiling and has such a cheerful attitude. He made me feel welcome
here from the very beginning. I wanted to create something to reflect how special he
is to my husband and me, as well as indicate the positive impact he has had on our lives."
