Ni Una Mas Mixed Media Shrine

This shrine is dedicated to the women of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico who have been murdered
there.  To date, it is believed that over 5,000 women in that region have been the victims of
femicide.  This piece was created to honor them..."Ni una mas" means "Not one more."

Ciudad Juarez is located south of El Paso, Texas.  In the desert there, several shallow
graves have been found with the women's bodies in them.  Pink wooden crosses have
been erected in commemoration of those whose lifeless bodies were discovered.

This shrine has been created with images from the Graphics Fairy.  The religious
images are actually antique prayer cards.  A pink wooden cross rests inside the
shrine.  Also includes commercial lettering, cheesecloth, and embellishments.
