Every week, there are art challenges for
artists to participate in on the internet.
Here are some challenges that
I participate in.

They are on the following sites:

Victorian Tag Book

This is a little story book made entirely of tags.  A few of the
images are from The Graphics Fairy.  This project was quite
time-intensive, but quite fun making it as a gift!

Here is a tip if you want to create one: Pick your images
first and then build the story around them.  (This
one happens to be a story about children walking
in their garden and seeing fairies. ) Each fairy has
a different lesson to teach the children about:
imagination, kindness, and love.

I particularly like to use shapes (such as the butterfly) that extend
off the tag as they make it more visually appealing.  I used a
heart, butterfly, and dragonfly punch made by the Paper
Studio.  When your book is completed, simply tie  together
with rope and attach organza ribbons.

I am also making a box for this to be placed in so that it
can sit next to the child's bedside.  I will decorate it with
complimentary colors.

Art Challenges 2
Mixed Media Monday

This week, Rosie gave us a
"vintage ad" challenge which
prompted me to create a digital
piece using images from The
Graphics Fairy.

My little cat Stella rested on my
computer last night right after I
posted art on my website...

I think that was her way of saying,
"Hey Mom, call it a night!"
