Theme Thursday Challenge--

Today is my daughter Jenny's
birthday and I created this
bookmark for her. Although it is
in burgundy and gold with satin and organza, it actually did not photograph true to color. (It looks brown and
red for some reason!) However, I
wanted to include it as I just finished
it at the stroke of midnight as her
birthday arrived!
It is adorned with a metal key with
the word "heart" engraved in it, in
addition to other embellishments that
include beading and sequins. I chose
the key with that inscription to remind
her of a poem by e.e. cummings in which
the first verse reads, "I carry your
heart with me (I carry it in my heart),"
for she is always in my heart. Every
time she looks at it, I hope it will
remind her of the poem.
